Brixen, nestled on the banks of the Etsch River, is surrounded by a lush, fertile valley. To the east lies a dense forest, while the west is characterized by expansive marshlands. The village's origin traces back to the construction of a grand stone bridge over the river, symbolizing the connection between East and West.
At the village's heart stands an imposing keep, renowned for its majestic architecture and considered one of the most beautiful structures in the land. The keep's thick, towering walls provide a sense of security and protection for the villagers against potential threats.
Brixen is also home to a temple dedicated to Umor, the god of change, renewal, and deprivation. The temple, a place of pilgrimage, features grand pillars with intricate carvings depicting stories of transformation from mythology and local history. Constructed from mud bricks mixed with straw and local herbs, the temple has an earthy feel, with a clay tile roof designed to collect rainwater for irrigation and community use.
The villagers of Brixen are industrious, earning their livelihoods through farming and fishing along the Etsch River. Despite facing numerous challenges, they remain united and supportive of one another. Currently, the village is occupied by Glurnser troops, with the keep serving as a military headquarters for their campaign.
