Liederburg

A Fortress of Memories and Aspirations

Liederburg stands as a testament to the memory of Jaromir von Tratsch, the esteemed leader of the Band of Songs, who perished in a fateful tournament at Salern. Nestled half a day's travel east of Schlandern and south of the imposing Ortler Mountain, this burgeoning keep is a relatively new construction, still growing and evolving.

Kailash, a nimble and cunning halfling thief; Grugald, a stout dwarven skjald; and Reza, a formidable human fighter, founded Liederburg. Their shared vision and unwavering loyalty to their fallen comrade drove them to establish the keep as their base of operations, a sanctuary where they could honor Jaromir's legacy and continue their quest for justice and adventure.

The keep's architecture is a harmonious blend of practicality and homage. Its sturdy stone walls stand resilient against the elements, crowned by a central tower that watches over the surrounding lands. The grand hall, dedicated to the memory of Jaromir, serves as the heart of Liederburg. Here, flags and banners bearing the crest of the Band of Songs flutter in the mountain winds, a vibrant testament to their enduring spirit.

Despite its newness, Liederburg already buzzes with life. Stewards and staff diligently handle the day-to-day operations, ensuring the keep runs smoothly. The construction continues, with new sections being added and existing ones fortified, the sounds of hammers and saws echoing through the halls.

Inside, the keep boasts a magnificent grand hall where the band gathers to plan their adventures and share their tales of valor and triumph. The living quarters, though modest, are comfortable and provide the band and their staff with a place to rest and rejuvenate after long days of toil and adventure.

Kailash has established a secure treasury within the keep, replete with intricate traps designed to deter any would-be thieves. Reza oversees the defenses and the training grounds, where he drills new recruits with relentless precision, honing his combat skills to a razor's edge. Rumors whisper of Grugald's extensive underground complex beneath the keep, featuring an Alehouse where he regales visitors with tales and songs over frothy mugs of ale.

On the top level of the keep, in a chamber that captures the light of both dawn and dusk, Goran Dulkatis, the renowned Feylinewanderer and a close friend of the group, has established his quarters.

The surroundings of Liederburg are picturesque, offering breathtaking views of rolling hills and the distant, snow-capped peaks of the Ortler Mountain. Within the keep's walls, a training yard pulsates with the energy of readiness and vigilance, a testament to the band's commitment to defense and preparedness.

Liederburg is more than just a fortress; it is a symbol of camaraderie, bravery, and the enduring spirit of the Band of Songs. As construction progresses, it promises to become a beacon of hope and a bastion of strength in the region, a place where legends are born and heroes are forged.
