Trumsberg

The Gem of Mount Lodner

Nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Lodner lies the quaint town of Trumsberg. Once a thriving mining community, the town's prosperity was built on retrieving precious gemstones from the depths of the earth. While most veins are exhausted and the caves and mines have long been abandoned, Trumsberg still retains its charm and beauty. The Trumsberg Road connects the settlement to the city of Burgeis, some 25 miles south.

Occasionally, a lucky prospector finds a gemstone or one of the fabled waterstones, which are said to be found only in waters flowing downstream from Mount Lodner. Hostile troglodyte tribes now inhabit some of the mountain’s caves, but they haven’t raided near the town or castle in several seasons.

The people of Trumsberg are devout followers of Lamakan and take great pride in their craftsmanship and artistry. At the heart of the town is the Hall of Lamakan, a grand building that serves as the town hall, courthouse, and temple to the god of craftsmanship and artisans. Baron Ludovik von Trum, who resides in a castle 10 miles farther north, rules the town. However, the daily business of the town is managed by the Shire Reeve, who lives in the centrally located keep.

Trumsberg is known for its warm and welcoming people, who are always ready to lend a helping hand. Their customs are steeped in tradition and are essential to the town's identity. Every year, the people of Trumsberg celebrate the Festival of the Gems, a grand event celebrating the town's mining heritage. The festival is a time of great joy, with feasting, dancing, and music filling the streets.

One of the most popular places in town is the Waterstone Well, a well-known inn that has served visitors for generations. The inn is always bustling with activity, with locals and visitors gathered around the fire, swapping stories and enjoying the warmth of good company.

Trumsberg may be a shadow of its former self, but its people still hold on to their traditions and the beauty of their town. If you ever find yourself in these parts, be sure to stop by and experience the warmth and charm of Trumsberg for yourself.
