The Impenetrable Fortress of the Eastern Road

Standing proud between Brixen and Siegesbrück, Südlanturm marks the entrance to an eastern road leading to Lehnfurt. This formidable stone castle strikes fear into the hearts of all who behold it.

Occupied by the Glurnser city-states, Südlanturm guards the southern road and supplies troops in Martsch with resources from beyond the border. The castle walls, wide enough for two horses to ride abreast, offer no escape for intruders. Soldiers patrol its high towers day and night, ever vigilant against any threat, whether from outside forces or within their ranks.

Inside Südlanturm, an intimidating maze of corridors is filled with weapons and armory fit for battle. Swords, axes, maces, and shields line the hallways, while archers keep a constant watch at every corner. Thick iron doors, only opened by key holders during times of peace or siege, defend these passageways, ensuring no one enters without permission from the guardians of safety.

The fortress is commanded by "The Iron Hand," a fearsome leader in black plate armor wielding a massive two-handed sword. His men, fiercely loyal and disciplined, wear matching black plate armor with the Iron Hand's symbol on their shields. They are renowned for their ability to carry out orders with merciless precision.

Despite its cold exterior, those who live within Südlanturm find solace in its centuries-old protection. Even when war looms, they feel secure behind its sturdy walls, confident that nothing could ever penetrate them.
